Die ehemalige Weilerin Evelin Vordermeier lebt in Australien und komponiert und textet für deutsche Schlagermusiker.

WEIL AM RHEIN. Am anderen Ende der Welt, auf dem Kontinent der roten Erde, der Beuteltiere und warmen Temperaturen, in Perth, Westaustralien, lebt eine Weilerin, die ihre Liebe zur Musik, insbesondere zu Volksmusik und Schlagern, vor einiger Zeit zum Beruf gemacht hat. Trotz großer Entfernung hat Evelin Vordermeier den Kontakt zur Heimat nie abreißen lassen.

1957 wurde Evelin Rösch geboren und wuchs in der Kaiserstraße auf. Dort verbrachte sie die Kindheit, bevor sie ihre Eltern als Achtjährige nach Australien holten. Sie waren 1959 nach Sydney ausgewandert und hatten ihre Tochter Oma, Opa und Paten anvertraut, bei denen Evelin die Kindheit erlebte. Mit Heimweh erinnert sie sich an Nachbarn und Kinder, mit denen sie auf der Straße spielte, an den Bahndamm am Mooswald und an die Leopoldschule mit Lehrerin Fränzle, an die vielen Treppen, die zum Schwimmbad führten, den Kindergottesdienst der Johanneskirche und das Kaufhaus Schöpflin in Haagen. "Ich bi stolz druff, e Wilerin z’si" sagt sie. Der Abschied von den Großeltern, als sie mit dem Taxi abgeholt wurde, ist die einzige traurige Erinnerung.

Als sie vor eineinhalb Jahren mit ihrem Mann eine Webseite für Musikkünstler gründete, erfüllte sich ihr Traum, ihr Hobby zum Beruf zu machen. Auf der Webseite treffen sich deutschsprachige und internationale Sänger, Produzenten, DJs, Songwriter, Fotografen und Models der Musikindustrie aus Volksmusik, Schlager, Country und Western, Hip Hop und R&B.

Über diese Plattform finden Musiker zu Evelin Vordermeier, die einen Texter oder Übersetzer für ihre Kompositionen suchen, und so kam sie zum Auftrag, für die letzte CD ihres Lieblingssängers, "Rudy Giovannini & Strato Vani – Viva Strauss", vier deutsche Liedtexte zu schreiben. Ihre "Speed Date Polka" war fünfzehn Wochen lang unter den ersten fünf Plätzen der Volksmusik Charts. Gerade schreibt sie ein Filmdrehbuch für die drei Bücher des irischen Liedermachers und Autors Larry Enright. Auch er hatte Evelin über das Internet gefunden. "Ich werde das schaffen", sagt sie, denn sie fühlt sich durch dieses Vertrauen ebenso geehrt wie inspiriert.

Austrian channel Melodie TV will be broadcasting the Rudy Giovannini TV special on “ Viva Strauss ” on Thursday January 2, 2013 at 8.15pm .  The show was recorded in Belgium with the full Strato-Vani Orchestra, showcasing the Italian singer’s version of classic Strauss melodies.

Upon its release, the album “Viva Strauss” stayed for almost 6 months in the Belgian classical music charts. It includes many of the best-known waltzes, as well as fun updates of the polkas. “Mit Dampf”, for example, is revamped as “The Speed Date Polka ”.
